Divorce advice

Wondered if anyone had any advice on here as I’m really struggling to get anywhere. Tried to put as straight forward as possibly below. I know this isn’t an agony aunt column but the amount of other shit that gets posted up I thought fuck it.....
. Got married in 2017 in Mexico
. Split up with the wife in June 2019
. We are relatively amicable but she claims to have lost the marriage certificate. From that I can find by looking online, we didn’t register the marriage in this country, but neither of us can remember.
.Getting pressure from current partner to get the divorce sorted, not particularly because she wants to get married but just because she wants my ex a thing of the past. I think that’s understandable.
I’ve contacted the hotel we got married in, they suggested contacting the Mexican embassy, but I keep hitting a wall (not trump’s) Does anyone have any experience with anything similar?

Well you lasted longer than a bloke in my old football team who got a new job up in Aberdeen where he met a Scottish lass, seems it was love at first site as after 3 weeks they announced they were getting married. Most of the team flew up for the big day, but she got cold feet and left him waiting at the altar in a packed out Church :-(

Was married here in Cyprus but had a surprise on our next U.K holiday received letter from Inland Revenue addressed to me and the wife in her very long and very foreign maiden name.

My signed photo of Mark Noble is directly in front of me, my marriage certificate is in the filing cabinet and would take a 5 minute rummage to find it.

I wouldn't have the foggiest either. The wife would know.
But I do remember having to go to go official type places with the certificate to get it made all official (wedding was abroad).
Surely you would remember that, ROSS?
